Raleigh All Steel Circa 1960

Raleigh All Steel

A classic example of British everyday cycling, the Raleigh All Steel was built for practicality, reliability and longevity. With its traditional roadster frame, upright riding position and three-speed gearing, it represents an era when bicycles were designed to serve their owners for decades. Simple, beautifully proportioned and unmistakably Raleigh.

The Restoration

The bicycle arrived showing the effects of years of use and exposure, with extensive corrosion across the frame and components. The restoration focused on returning it to its original appearance while preserving its period character. The frame was refinished in traditional black, the brightwork brought back to life and the mechanical components carefully overhauled.

The Result

A transformation from a heavily weathered roadster into an elegant, fully functioning classic. The deep black finish, polished metalwork and traditional fittings bring the bicycle back to its former appearance without losing the simplicity of its original design. A reminder of just how well these beautifully straightforward machines can endure.
