About Bells Bespoke

Beginnings

Bell’s Bespoke began in 2008 when Megan started experimenting with bicycle restoration from a small basement workshop in a coastal town. At the time, she was rescuing forgotten bikes from skips, markets and car boot sales, slowly learning the techniques needed to bring them back to life.

What began as curiosity quickly became a craft. Bit by bit Megan developed the skills required to restore these classic machines, learning how each component worked and how careful restoration could reveal the beauty of the original design.

Those early projects sparked a lasting fascination with the engineering, design and history behind classic bicycles.

Our Philosophy

At Bell’s Bespoke we believe restoration should respect the history of each bicycle. Wherever possible, original components and finishes are preserved, while missing details are recreated using period references and traditional techniques.

The Craft

As the work grew more ambitious, Bell’s Bespoke became increasingly focused on the careful restoration of historic bicycles. Each project demanded research, patience and an understanding of how these machines were originally built.

At Bell’s Bespoke we believe restoration should preserve the story of each bike. Wherever possible, original components and finishes are retained, while missing details are recreated using period references and traditional techniques.

As word spread, more ambitious restoration projects began to arrive, and the workshop slowly evolved into a dedicated restoration studio.

Today

Today Bell’s Bespoke operates from a dedicated restoration workshop in London, working with clients across the UK and beyond.

Every bicycle that enters the workshop carries its own history — whether it is a childhood bike, a rare collector’s piece or a family heirloom. Our role is to preserve that story while returning the machine to its former beauty.

Each project is approached with care, research and craftsmanship, ensuring that the finished bicycle reflects both its original maker and the memories attached to it.

Bell’s Bespoke now works with collectors, enthusiasts and families looking to preserve bicycles that carry personal or historical significance.

The Restoration Process

Every project begins with a conversation. We discuss the history of the bicycle, the level of restoration required and the client’s vision for the finished bike.

From there we research, dismantle and restore each component using traditional techniques and specialist craftsmen.
