1920’s Bianchi Resto-Mod.

This project began with a rare early-1920s Bianchi frame and a 1950’s after market set of early suspension forks. Its original paint, worn into a deep, expressive patina, became the focus of the project — not something to erase, but to celebrate and elevate.

From there, every detail was chosen to strike a careful balance between authenticity and performance:

  • Westwood wheels laced around a Sturmey Archer 3-speed hub with coaster brake, offering effortless riding while retaining classic form.

  • Cream Schwalbe tyres, contrasting softly against the darkened frame.

  • Chrome throughout — from the new parts to the BLB mudguards, which bring a distinctly 1950s Franco-Italian aesthetic.

  • A modern cartridge bottom bracket for reliability, paired with an Andel crankset that bridges vintage styling with crisp performance.

  • A vintage dynamo set, rewired and installed, giving the bike a subtle period-correct glow.

  • And finally, a custom-made steering stabiliser, crafted in-house to complete the look and function.

The result is a bicycle that wears its age proudly, while offering a refreshed riding experience. A machine that honours Bianchi’s early history yet tips its cap to the bold, motor-inspired experiments of the 1950s
